Five Something Something Contest

I couldn’t give it away in the title of the blog post!

Today, Rooglewood Press is announcing the theme of its next writing contest. For those of you who loved Five Glass Slippers, and are eagerly awaiting this year’s Five Enchanted Roses (make sure you go pre-order your copy and add it to your goodreads shelf and generally spread the word!)

Now, get ready to be transported once again to a land of enchantment, a story as beautiful as it is beloved, because the 2015 fairy tale is….

I can’t stand the suspense!

Five Magic Spindles

That’s right, this year’s fairy tale is SLEEPING BEAUTY!

Just let that soak in a bit.

Isn’t the cover gorgeous? Another lovely masterpiece by Julia Popova, who is also responsible for the fabulous Five Enchanted Roses cover art! Be certain to look up Julia on her website and like her on Facebook!

And now for the fine print:

Rooglewood Press is delighted to introduce their third fairy tale novella contest—

Five Magic Spindles

a collection of “Sleeping Beauty” stories

The challenge is to write a retelling of the beloved fairy tale in any genre or setting you like. Make certain your story is recognizably “Sleeping Beauty,” but have fun with it as well. Make it yours!

Rooglewood Press will be selecting five winners to be published in the Five Magic Spindles collection, which will be packaged up with the phenomenal cover you see here. Maybe your name will be one of the five listed?

All the contest rules and information (how to enter, story details, deadline etc.) may be found on the Rooglewood Press website. Just click HERE and you will go right to the page.

Rooglewood Press’s first collection, Five Glass Slippers is available for purchase, and our second collection, Five Enchanted Roses is scheduled to launch on July 27, and is currently available for pre-order. Be certain to get a copy of each and see what previous winners did with their wonderful retellings.

And there you have it! So, my fellow authors, go forth and write!
