Inspiring Images: Cabin

Time for another "inspiring images" post, dear Reader! Today's image is one that has been near and dear to my heart for many years. I believe I first saw this at the Mall of America in the Thomas Kinkade gallery. I know a lot of people in the "art" world don't like Kinkade, but I really love his work. I'm not an art connoisseur by any stretch of the imagination, and I probably have opinions about art that would ruffle most art majors' feathers, so I won't go into them here. All that aside... I want to live here:It has everything: lake or river, cozy cabin, mountains, forest, wildlife, a couple of horses, even a little boat, and it looks like it's rather a ways from any other human being on the planet. It reminds me of the Wilderness Family Robinson movies I grew up watching as a kid. I always envied their ability to pack up their belongings, drive out of the city while shouting, "We're gettin' outta here!" and the little plane they had to ride in to get to their homestead, where they lived off the land and chased away mountain lions, wolves, bears, and befriended an old gold-miner and his burro.I know it would have its downsides... running water is nice, and I'd probably starve to death, seeing as how I'm not a fan of venison, and I can't grow vegetables to save my life. But the idea of it has always captured my imagination. And this picture was like something straight out of my imagination come to life. I would love to sit out on that porch and just write for hours... go out on that little boat and read a book... saddle up one of those horses and set off on an adventure...What about you? Where is your ideal place to live?
