More Superhero Stories

I have exciting news!

Last year, H.L. Burke opened up her superhero universe for other authors to write stories in, and I had the great privilege of getting my story Play Date accepted into that anthology.

My story revolved around a mom named Emilia trying to fit into a new town and make new friends, all while navigating the ins and outs of being married to a superhero and having children with emerging superpowers.

It was a fun story to write. I enjoyed getting to spend some time in the modern world with my writing, while also staying solidly in fantasy territory.

So when Heidi opened up a second round of submissions, I jumped at the chance to write another story in this world. It’s a bit of a sequel to my first story, but follows Emilia’s brother-in-law.

And it was accepted!

Not only that, but Heidi got so many submissions, that she is publishing not one, but TWO more anthologies. Later this year, you can get a DOUBLE SHOT of superhero awesome with TWO new anthologies set in the world of the Supervillain Rehabilitation Project. Featuring seventeen new stories by epic authors.

But the exciting news doesn’t stop there.

Because I am beyond thrilled, over the moon excited, and so proud that if I had a vest with buttons like Bilbo Baggins, the buttons would be all over the floor….

Because I’m not just being published again.

This time, I’m being published alongside a brand-new author who is very, very dear to me.

Introducing…. Leiana Arwen!

My daughter is getting her first story published!

Dear Reader… there are no words to describe this feeling.

I can’t wait for you to read her story. It is so full of fun and shenanigans, and I love it to pieces. Of course, I’m a teensy bit biased… but I think you’ll love it, too!

And Leiana is thrilled, because one of her dear friends is also being published for the first time! Her story will be in Volume 2:

Just like with the first volume, H.L. Burke is going to be holding a Kickstarter to help her cover some of the costs of publishing up front.

What stories lie within? Seriously, this line-up is pretty epic. I am beyond honored to be included among so many incredible authors!
