MOTIVATIONAL MONDAY
Hello, my name is Jenelle, and I'm a quote collector.
Yep. Whenever I hear or read a quote I just love, I have this compulsive urge to "capture" it. I have over 58 pages of quotes saved on my computer. I randomly insert quotes from my favorite movies and television shows (and sometimes books) into my everyday conversations. I've often told people that watching movies in my family is like a full contact sport. After the movie, we don't just go off to the next event, we discuss the movie for HOURS. We quote it, talk about the characters we liked, didn't like, what we enjoyed, what was difficult to believe, what themes were present. When we have regular conversations, often one of us (usually my dad) will insert a movie quote into the conversation and then just wait with this, "Well? Where's it from?" expression until someone can shout out the name of the movie the quote is from (or quote the line that comes next, which is even better). (It does help that we all like the same types of movies). I forget not everyone does this, and cannot break myself of the habit when I'm conversing with people not related to me. Most of my friends who have stuck with me seem to have accepted this random quirk about me...
Anyway, I wanted to share a few of my compiled quotes with you. I do attempt to accurately give credit for these, but if you see a quote attributed to the wrong person (and you know who the correct original source is/was) please feel free to let me know! You won't make me feel bad. If I have left off attribution, it's because I have no idea who originally said it.
