Exciting Things Coming Soon!

Back at the end of February is Fantasy Month this year I made an announcement… some of you may remember it… that King’s Warrior was soon going to be an audio book! Do you remember that? I barely remember that, because that was back in the last few brief moments of sanity that we had for 2020. Was it just earlier this year? It seems like it was eons ago…

Well… despite a few setbacks and the most insane summer ever… I am absolutely thrilled to announce that the narration for this first foray into the world of audio books is COMPLETE. I just reviewed the final edits last week and clicked "APPROVE.”

Now the files are in the hands of the ACX team and it could take up to 30 days for everything to be completely reviewed and finalized, but when it is, at long last, King’s Warrior will finally be available in audio format!

I am so very excited about this. I have always wanted to be able to offer this in audio format. That’s kind of the way that this story has always been meant to be enjoyed. I first wrote it as a story for my dad to read out loud to the family, and many of my dear readers have commented on the fact that this book lends itself well to being read out loud.

This has been such a pleasant experience, that I’m also excited to inform you that the rest of the series will soon follow! My narrator, Benjamin Fife, has been the absolute best person to work with on this project. He reads so well, and does ALL the voices, and OH. MY. SWEET. PUMPERNICKLE. DREAMS… he does the BEST DRAGON VOICES EVER!!!! I can’t wait for you to hear it. Seriously. But more than that, he’s been fabulously enthusiastic about this project. I’m completely spoiled now, I have to admit, because I don’t think I can ever work with another narrator who isn’t equally excited about my stories as he is.

All that to say, I am excited about this project and will let you know as soon as it’s available!

Are you a fan of audiobooks? What is your favorite audio book? Are there any books you prefer to listen to vs. reading for yourself?
