MINOR CHANGES

Two posts in one day! What is this world coming to???

There are some minor changes happening around the blog currently! Just wanted to let you know that, yep, your eyesight and memory are fine.

Most notably, I have added a "Recommended Read" tab. This is still under a lot of construction, and will change and grow as I read more excellent books. This is the area where you can find a list of some of my all-time favorite books (and no, that tiny list currently there is just a fraction of my favorite books that I could think of off the top of my head, not the entire list!) Eventually I will get them categorized by genre, possibly even alphabetized!, and will hopefully be able to post links on many of them to reviews I've written about that book/series. I also want to write a short 1-3 sentence blurb under each of them explaining what they're about/why I love them. However, this is a rather enormous and daunting undertaking, so please be patient with me as I'm going to try to do it in realistic-sized bites.

Secondly, I've created a "for authors" tab. This is where, if you are an author, you can read the instructions about how to contact me if you are interested in being interviewed for "Featured Artist Fridays" or possibly doing a guest post. I've tried to make sure that my featured authors write family-friendly or YA-friendly books, but I haven't always been as careful about that as I should - which is why I felt the time had come for a tab with explicit instructions about the sort of content I am willing to promote here on my site.

As far as "Events" and "Store" tabs are concerned, I feel that events are few and far between enough that I can add them to the side-bar when necessary. And I don't really have a store... and there are many other places on this site where you can click on a link that will take you to my book on amazon... so those tabs felt like they could perhaps be repurposed to better use.

Hopefully these changes will be ones that you find useful and pleasant.
