Cubbies!

Not the AWANA kind... though we're excited about them too, as Nathalie is really enjoying being a Cubbie this year.But today's excitement is all about the baseball kind. I promise, I'm still here. The packing and cleaning and logistics of this move across half the country is taking up all my time and brainpower. And... in the midst of all of it... the Cubs are on a roll! And I couldn't be more excited about it!You may not know this, but baseball is one of my "things." I grew up going to Little League games and watching my brothers play ball every Saturday throughout the summers... went to high school games, traveled across the country for some college games as they grew up. I have many happy memories at the Kane County Cougars stadium watching single-A ball, and I've been to major league games at Wrigley, Cellular One, the Brewer's stadium, and Fenway (one of the things on my "bucket list" is to get to a game in every Major League stadium), here in NC we've been to Durham Bulls games and Mudcats games... watching a good game of baseball is just one of those things that makes my heart happy.But my favorite thing in baseball (besides cheering for my brothers... who, sadly don't play anymore) is the Cubs. I bleed Cubbie Blue (ok, not really). But they're my team.
